Hi All! sorry it has taken so long to update. Life has been wildly busy. I got in late wednesday night and spent all day in school thursday. Sunday I taught my first full day of class and I have just finished teaching the whole week. My class is really neat. I have 17 Sudanese kids, 3 Pakistani, and 3 MKs [missionary kids]. It is neat to start interacting with them and beginning to learn about them and their little minds. Next week, I am going over to two of my kids family's homes. These are called home visits and it is the time we have the most opportunity to talk about God with our students' families.
Overall I am finding the adjustment difficult but bearable. The culture is wildly different then anything I have experienced before. Walking home from school we stepped over a severed hoof that someone left in the road. Randomly we will loose power for 4 hours at a time, and a pound of coffee cost 45 US dollars. I did get to go on my first public bus and if you know me you know I love any bus, so that made me feel right at home. Sorry this post was short I will write more when I am not completely drowning in lesson plans and curriculum learning. Love you all!
